Mutual Fund

This was one of the biggest assignments in this course, lasting about 1 month. The objective was to make a Mutual Fund with 3 other students on market watch. Each member of the grope was assigned a portfolio: technology, manufacturing, banking and raw materials (me). We would buy stocks within our fields and over the course of the month track how are portfolio moved. We where also tracking the Dow and NASDAQ to compare how we where doing to the overall market. After collecting all the data we used Excel to create graphs of our portfolios and then mutual fund as a whole. We also compared our portfolios and mutual fund to the Dow and NASDAQ, and against each other. We also needed to name our mutual fund and create a logo. We then took all the information and transferred it into Power Pont and presented it to the class.

The grope work component to this was the only dislikable part. Trying to gather all the information together and make it all compatible was annoying; along with peoples lack of general communication really slowed this project.
